In the glass, Pontac-Lynch 2019 shows a captivating deep ruby colour with vibrant garnet highlights – a first glimpse of the richness Margaux lovers appreciate.
The bouquet unfolds with elegance and complexity. Fresh fig notes mingle beautifully with ripe plum, while a touch of cassis highlights the finesse so characteristic of Margaux. Delicate violet aromas add a floral dimension, subtly complemented by hints of sweet liquorice.
On the palate, this Cru Bourgeois truly comes into its own. Silky and enveloping, it combines the characteristic elegance of Margaux with impressive intensity. Its beautifully balanced structure is carried by layers of dark fruit, framed by ripe, supple tannins.
Château Pontac-Lynch
In the heart of the renowned Margaux appellation lies Château Pontac-Lynch, a small family-owned Bordeaux estate covering around 10 hectares of vineyards.
Its location is truly remarkable. Surrounded by some of the most celebrated names in Bordeaux, Pontac-Lynch enjoys a privileged position. Its neighbours include the legendary Château Margaux, as well as Palmer, Rauzan-Ségla and d’Issan – placing this small estate in exceptional company.
The history of Château Pontac-Lynch stretches back centuries. Originally an aristocratic hunting estate, it gradually evolved into a wine-producing property. Today, after more than three generations in the hands of the Bondon family, the château combines its long heritage with a modern approach to winemaking.
Under the direction of Marie-Hélène Falleur Bondon, Château Pontac-Lynch has established itself among the respected Crus Bourgeois of the Médoc – recognition of its consistent quality and distinctive expression of its terroir.
